I have recently come across something very chilling. I work at an antique store in Huntsville, AL. We had a man come in our store with a German Nazi Flag. The flag was signed by the 39th. He was told that it was a flag from a city in Germany that was captured by the regiment. It looks authentic. Knowing the regiments history I am wondering if it could possibly be the flag from Roetgen. How can I find the men and ASN that were in this regiment. The flag contains signatures and ASN numbers. HELP. Pamela

Served with C company 2/39 1st brigade from Ft Riley, March 1966 through April 1967. I transferred to B company 2/39, as a cook where I again met up with Sargent Floyd English who was transferred to there as B company First Sargent. Some time in the summer of 1967 I received a medical transfer to 9th Div. HQ where I stayed the rest of my tour. I became acquainted with Cal Meyer about 10 years ago as a result of becoming acquainted with the sister of Clark Walker, KIA January 24, 1967. From that point in time, I always thought how lucky Cal was to live in the great wide open spaces of Bozeman, Montana Where he did some hunting and fishing near where he lived. Cal was an outstanding soldier who received the respect of everyone who knew him.

One website is U.S. Veteran Compensation Programs (http://www.veteranprograms.com). On this website I frequently learn about the latest money available to veterans, benefits for veterans and their families, where to get discounts for veterans, and I get free things from their veteran giveaway program. Keep up the good work. I will pass the word about your website and I will visit again. Thanks!

Iunderstand this is for the 39th of the 9th infantry division but I was in the 1st bn bravo company 1st of the 39th infantry 8th ID baumholder germany from 1977-1980. I understand that the unit I was in has nothing to do with yours but was wondering besides the 39th infantry blog is there another place for 39th infantry members.
